Aeronautical Engineering Student

Responsibilities

• Generation and assistance with applicable drawings and reports;
• Work with CAD designers to achieve project goals;
• Test and report on new CAD design programs;
• Coordinate with the survey systems department and design and development departments as necessary on relevant aspects of design duties;
• Assemble/Disassemble and test airborne survey equipment and birds;
• Understand, comply and promote all company safety precautions and policies including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; and
• Other duties as required to complete projects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current enrollment in aerospace, mechanical, or similar engineering programs at an accredited university with third year course completion;
• Knowledge of structural design including truss analysis, and mechanics of materials;
• Knowledge of basic programming (including C++, Matlab/Scilab) and logic-based systems would be considered an asset;
• Excellent report writing skills;
• Familiarity with CAD principles and techniques for technical drawings;
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and;
• Familiarity with hand tools, fabrication skills of any discipline, and/or simple electrical circuits are considered an asset.
