Sander Geophysics is currently seeking Purchasing
Assistant, Tool Control to join the growing team.
Responsibilities
- Purchase, maintain and control aircraft tools,
equipment and supplies;
- Receive, sort, store and issue incoming tools and
materials;
- Maintain inventory lists and sufficient stock levels;
- Track all calibrated tools and ensure they are
maintained complying with the approved schedule;
- Maintain sufficient stock levels and inventory lists;
- Liaise with field crews to ensure they have the tools
and equipment required;
- Organize and implement a tool control program for
Ottawa and field personnel;
- Liaise with Aircraft Maintenance and Shipping
departments;
- Complete local pick-ups and deliveries of tools and
materials;
- Perform clerical duties, as required;
- Understand, comply with, and promote all company
safety precautions and policies, including reporting
hazards and incidents encountered during daily
operations;
- Attend and complete training courses and/or company
examinations, as required;
- Maintain a high level of technical and operational
knowledge through direct engagement with colleagues,
supervisors, and through personal development;
- Maintain project schedules and goals; and
- Perform and complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience with tools and parts support an
asset;
- Demonstrated experience with computers;
- Proficient with LibreOffice and/or Microsoft Office,
Thunderbird and Firefox;
- Familiarity with database entry software used to view,
create, manipulate, print, and manage files in PDF
format;
- Familiarity with aviation paperwork, processes, and
procedures an asset;
- Knowledge of AMS and inventory tracking software an
asset;
- Ability to obtain a Transport Canada airside pass, TDG
and forklift certificate;
- Ability to lift and move heavy loads up to 50 lbs;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
- Availability to work after-hours, as required;
- Proven organizational skills;
- Ability to follow instructions and multitask in a
fast-paced environment;
- Valid driver’s licence; and,
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
